Our name reflects our deep desire to be a safe haven for hurting people to investigate the teachings of Jesus and experience a restoration of hope in their lives.
The vision of Hope Harbor Church is to help people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Our mandate is to communicate the uncompromised Word of God, lead everyone we can to Jesus, and empower others to do the same.
We believe the church is scripturally commissioned by Jesus Christ to equip the believers to (1) connect, (2) grow, (3) serve, (4) share, (5) and worship.
Hope Harbor Church is a casual, contemporary, multi-denominational, word-based, spirit-filled, seeker-friendly, and purpose-driven church.
We like to rock out for Jesus at the Harbor! Every generation has a unique voice of worship and we enjoy the high energy praise and worship that is inspiring and blessing the body of Christ today.
Our three-step growth strategy for every believer is: (1) Newcomers; (2) The Growth Course (focusing on six growth priorities such as connecting, growing, serving, sharing, worshiping, and giving), and (3) Small Groups. Our growth track will help you to grow in your relationship with Jesus, find a meaningful place of service based on giftedness, and establish meaningful relationships with others at the Harbor.
We provide ministries for every member of the family including Kids’ Cove and Nursery, Paradise Youth Ministries, Christ Ambassadors College Ministry, men’s and women’s activities, recovery ministry, and a host of specialized ministries such as the Hope Harbor Bible College and Hope Harbor Café.
Our pastoral team includes: Senior Pastor Art and Kelli Heinz, Children’s Pastor Bea Cornett, Youth Pastor David and Carrie Groves, MSU Campus Pastor Mark Randall, Creative Arts and Technology Pastor John Barrett, Multi-Site Pastor Bill and Rhonda Barger, and Multi-Site Youth Pastor Shannon and Jennifer Borens.
We believe in doing ministry as a T.E.A.M. (together experiencing a ministry). Teams provide the best possible ministry result while building relationships among team members. Team opportunities are available in every ministry area of Hope Harbor Church
We dream of one church in multiple locations. In November 2006 we launched the first of many branches of HHC in Trigg County followed by HHC Henry County, Tennessee in January of 2008. Sites are being planned also for McCracken County, Kentucky, Christian County, Kentucky, and Saline County, Illinois. We also dream of a technologically savvy ministry utilizing every available voice to spread the gospel including television, radio, and internet streaming media and pod casting.
Hope Harbor Church is a sovereign and self-governed local church established with a unique regional vision and affiliated with the Assemblies of God International.
